ROSKA'S REVERIE ⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ ࣪

blaugust 2026

it seems silly to be this nervous about writing again! heart racing and all that. then again, reframing it as an "inner applause"1 makes it more bearable.

i read sylvia's intentions to join blaugust this year, and it took me a while to decide, but i'm joining as well! i want to ease into writing regularly for my blog again!

there are (optional) weekly prompts, and i'll likely start with these instead of posting daily. the idea of catching up already feels daunting hahaha but i'll still be keeping count of the number of posts i've written, just for fun :>

this week's prompt ⋆˚࿔

what made you decide to do Blaugust this year? what are your personal goals?

is it weird to admit it's because someone i admire2 is also trying it as well? reading sylvia's post gave me the push i didn't know i need to just... write! writing as a creative outlet is somehow more vulnerable from my perfectionist tendencies compared to drawing3, which sucks, but maybe letting myself write loosely without it being tied to a big project makes it more approachable????

the goal is at least 1 post per week, based on the weekly prompts! if i end up writing more, great! if i end with 4 posts, still great! as long as i can write without beating myself up about it, then it's all good :>

  1. i remember sharing this concept with my partner after reading about it from a facebook post (or was it on instagram? eh); we've been referring to this concept whenever one of us is feeling nervous

  2. i love visiting sylvia's website and reading her notes! when i first heard about bearblog, it was from exploring her blog (and veronique's) that made me decide to join

  3. more or less; i guess i've been more forgiving lately with art
